Lion Dance

The Chinese lion used in the dance includes a huge multicolour paper head constructed from bamboo structures, fabric, and furs, etc.

The lion is manipulated by two Kung Fu athletes. The athletes use skill, flexibility, power, coordination and ability to convey the lion's spirit. They parade with the prosperity monk and three musicians who play drum, cymbals and gong.

Many Chinese and Asian people invite one lion or more for prestigious events like inaugurations, weddings, birthdays, festivities and other events. The hosts offer a lettuce so that the lion will chase away the bad spirit and bring good fortune. It is a joyful event for all the guests! You can find more lion dance pictures in our gallery!

Dragon Dance

The dragon dance is a spectacular aspect of the Chinese mythological folklore. The choreography of this dance, performed with a 35-meter-long dragon supported by over fifteen people, requires great coordination to be carried out properly. You can find dragon dance pictures in our gallery!
